Motivation Monday: 3 Healthy Holiday Drinks

What’s better than cozying up by a fire with your Christmas PJs on and watching a Christmas classic? Add in a yummy healthified holiday inspired drink to that mix and you’ve got a top notch night if you ask me! What’s better than that? NOTHIN’ ladies and gents, nothin’.

I wanted to share with you 3 of my favorite easy peasy lemon squeezy drinks to enjoy this holiday season!

Healthy hot chocolate

This one is packed FULL of healthy fats to support healthy hormones, glowing hair and skin, and keep you full until your next meal! I actually created this recipe last year, but recently if you follow me on Instagram you saw that I did Ali Bourgerie’s Fall Reset and she included an anti-inflammatory hot chocolate similar to this one! She included cinnamon and turmeric for a bit more of an anti-inflammatory punch, so definitely give that a shot if that sounds up your alley. About 1/4 tsp for each. But if you want to keep it a bit more plain Jane, try this one below!

What you need:

  • 1 cup almond milk (any milk of your choice will work)

  • 1.5 tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

  • 1 tsp maple syrup or coconut sugar

Combine the cocnut oil, cacao, syrup, and water in a mug and mix well. Stir in warm almond milk and enjoy! I prefer to froth my almond milk and add it to the top like a latte! Almond milk that is just almonds and water I find froths the best. This is the frother I’ve used for a couple years.

Peppermint Bark Tea Latte

What you need:

Peppermint flavored drinks will forever hold a special place in my heart! I love this one as an afternoon pick me up on a cold and cozy day. This is a simple one, but you seriously can’t go wrong! And guys, this tea is a game changer. Chocolate hinted tea? count me in for that one!

  • 1 cups Bigelow Peppermint Bark Tea

  • 1 tsp organic honey

  • ½ cup almond milk

  • 2 tbsp calfiia farms peppermint creamer

  • top with a sprinkle of cocoa powder and crushed candy cane!

Cranberry Mocktail

This one isn’t a hot one but it’s a fun drink to incorporate during the holidays in my opinion! If you want to make it alcoholic, add 1 ounce of gin to round it out!

What you need:

  • 4 oz ginger kombucha (I used this one)

  • Splash of sparkling water (this would be really yummy with lime sparkling water too, I would add that if we had access to some!)

  • 2 tbsp no sugar added, high quality cranberry juice

  • 1 tbsp lime juice (or juice of one lime)

Top with a rosemary sprig and some fresh cranberries, serve in a mule mug or champagne glass to make it fun!
