With the new year and plenty of intentions and goals to be healthier - mind, body, and soul - I wanted to put a little list to help you jump start the ACTION and take the baby steps that will help you reach your goals if you have some. I’m a huge advocate for taking small manageable steps in order to reach bigger goals. So I hope these are helpful for you!

Obviously, you can’t *instantly* be healthier. BUT I know for myself there are plenty of times where I just need a good dose of health and wellness, do you know what I mean?! Whether its after a night of drinking, a vacation or weekend getaway, or just when you’re feeling a little sluggish around that time of the month I always have a few go-to methods that help me feel healthier! My personal favorite is celery juice. Every time I drink a big glass of celery juice I feel so much more hydrated, energized, and *cleaned out* if that makes sense? I feel like cleaned out sounds a bit odd but do you know what I mean!? What would you add to this list? I’d love to hear in the comments below!

10 Things To Help You Feel Instantly Healthier

  1. Warm lemon water in the morning in your favorite mug

  2. Celery juice - my personal favorite! This is the juicer I have when I’m in the U.S. (I currently live in Italy if you’re new around here:) ).

  3. Veggies in your smoothies. I love frozen cauliflower, spinach, kale, or cucumber.

  4. Drink 3 liters of water per day - it’s easy for me when I use a liter water bottle. This is the one I use every day.

  5. Dry brush your skin - I use this one, only $5!

  6. Go for an after dinner walk

  7. Arrange your food out onto a plate...make it an experience

  8. Swap any sweeteners you use for coconut sugar or monk fruit

  9. Stretch or do a quick yoga session

  10. Have at least 3 different colors in your next meal - preferably vibrant colors!

I think we all know how passionate I am about TRUE health and wellness. I talk about what that means to me and how it’s changed my life in my book To Kale And Back: Ditch The Rules And Learn To Thrive In Food, Fitness, And Life, as well as numerous blog posts here. Feel free to do a little scroll back for a look :) All in all, I believe mental health is just as important as physical, life is meant to be enjoyed, and true health and wellness (mind, body, and soul) is the key to living your most fulfilling and abundant life.
