Books You Need In Your Life Right Now
Anyone else absolutely adore reading, but never actually make time for it? I feel like I go in waves between reading all the time, to forgetting books exist for a few months.
I’m currently in a reading every free moment I have phase so I thought I’d share the books I’ve read so far this year.
We all know that this year has had its ups and downs, but one of the positives is that its encouraged most of us to really take a look at our lives and reevaluate certain areas. I know for myself that doing that has reminded me how important my morning routine is for my mental health, and how much I enjoy reading fiction. So often we convince ourselves that reading fiction isn’t productive enough and it always gets pushed to the back burner. But, if you’re like me, 2020 has taught me that making time for the things that make me happy is productive, and is oh so important.
That said, I’m a weirdo that is always reading two books at once hehe! My morning routine includes about 10 minutes of some sort of self-improvement book. And then I’ve recently been loving fiction books to wind down before bed, not just at the beach or during your lunch break.
Let’s dive into the books I’ve read so far this year!
Inspirational Books:
To Kale And Back (yes, I read my own book! I read it about 8 times through back when I wrote it, and haven’t picked it up since. It was so fun going back through and getting re-inspired again this year!)
High Performance Habits - I just ordered this one!
Fiction Books:
Verity - hands down the BEST thriller I have ever read.
Outlander - I am currently reading this one and I love it so much. I did watch the series last year but reading the books is just as good! Click here for the first one, here for the first 4, and here for the last 4.
I’d love to hear what books you’ve been loving this year! Let me know if you give any of these a try!
XO,
Di
